Net Zero
The four research institutes of the ETH Domain gathered to inform each other about their activities and discuss opportunities for collaboration in view of the expected call for joint initiatives by the ETH Board.
Outcome: Net Zero main topics

AVOID: Measures to avoid or reduce the emission of greenhouse gases

REMOVE: Measures to recover greenhouse gases (mainly CO2) from the atmosphere as well as storage of CO2

ASSESS: Monitoring and modelling of emissions and socio-economic aspects

To establish a Center of Excellence covering a broad range of research areas related to net-zero emissions as an inter-institutional collaboration framework

To further enhance the following key action areas: biomass carbon cycle, carbon capture & utilization, efficient technical cycles, flexible low-carbon energy systems, greenhouse gases & climate, net-zero institute roadmap

Sensor
The ENRICH Stream Sensor has successfully fostered networking and intensive know-how exchange. Partners with similar tasks and topics were strategically connected, enabling the identification and utilization of synergies. This has laid the foundation for the development of joint strategy papers, research initiatives, and projects. It opens up new perspectives for innovative structures, competence centers, and optimized processes that will sustainably shape collaboration.
